Aikido Seikikai is a traditional Aikido dojo. The instructors are professional instructors and shihan trained in Japan. The classes are taught following the rules typical of a Japanese dojo. That is, when you are in our dojo, it is as if you are in Japan.
We want your training with us to be beneficial and enjoyable. To this end, in the pages that follow, we offer you a sample of the rules of the dojo which guarantee classes of the highest quality in an enjoyable atmosphere.
It is recommended that each student read and meditate on these rules. They are designed for the benefit of all and represent the correct form in which to study the art. In no way do we wish to offend anyone. If it seems to you that these rules are only good sense, please understand that there are many people do not understand how to behave and we present these rules for the benefit of all. If these rules are already a part of your training, simply observe and encourage others to do the same.
These rules are only a partial exhibition of the rules of a traditional dojo and may be clarified, modified or interpreted by Seikikai and said clarifications, modifications or interpretations automatically form part of the contract between the student and Aikido Seikikai Kenjutsu Jodo Seiki Ryu, S.C. (also known as Seikikai) without the need for supplying each student with a copy of the rules. All such clarifications, modifications or interpretations will eventually be published on this site.
