Live in program and Instructor (uchideshi) Training

In order to further the training of the individual student and also in order to spread the understanding of Aikido as taught by the Founder, Seikikai is pleased to announce the opening of the Seikikai Kaikan. At this facility, young men who wish to become professional instructors are taught Aikido technique and philosophy in a traditional Japanese style apprenticeship. The entrance requirements are stringent and only people who are or wish to become Seikikai members are accepted. If you wish further information, please e-mail us at mail@aikido-seikikai.com.

The instructors of Seikikai make no distinction between "daily life" and behavior on the tatami. Kurita Sensei often says that, as students, one must always try to elevate his way of thinking. The way of thinking of "the crowd" is not what you should try to copy. Just because a way of thinking is current does not mean that it is correct.

Seikikai instructors are always motivated and teach with gentleness and understanding, moreover, they teach that one should never run away from correction rather it is necessary to embrace it.
