The Aikido School With A Difference
HOW DO I BEGIN MY STUDY OF AIKIDO? THE FIRST STEP Come in and visit our school. Take a chair. You will immediately feel the warm, friendly family-oriented atmosphere. Almost as soon as you enter, someone will come up and greet you. You will be given information about our classes, our teaching philosophy, and our instructors. Before and after class there is always time to talk to the instructors. It is part of our teaching that the sensei (teacher) be accessible to all of the students. We also encourage you to talk to the students who are taking our classes. Sometimes you can gain a greater insight into the operations of a school, and how that relates to you, from the students. We encourage you to do this. You will be given an explanation of all costs associated with the study of Aikido with us and encouraged to take your time making a decision. We are so sure that we can help you that we gladly consult with you FREE to determine if Aikido is right for you. If it is, you will be welcomed into our family. If not, we will make specific recommendations as to a particular art and teacher we feel might be right for you. If possible, we will arrange an introduction to that teacher for you. This is done with no obligation on your part. Our instructors are professionals. Consulting is only one aspect of their expertise. If you, and we, decide
that Aikido is right for you, you will be given all of the information
you need to make the decision to begin your studies. We have access to
everything you need: uniforms, weapons, and accessories, often at a substantial
discount over what those items might cost elsewhere. However, if you already
have what you need or wish to purchase it elsewhere, that's ok too. THE SECOND STEP The next step is to try out our classes. Many schools of Aikido offer you the chance to try one class and then decide if you want to do Aikido. Our job is to make sure that you make a good decision. How do we do this? We invite you to try out our classes for 2 MONTHS - AT A GREATLY REDUCED PRICE! (Sort of like a test drive). Our teacher from Japan, Kurita Sensei, is watching as I type this, and he thinks this is a great idea. Make no mistake, our classes and instruction are traditional. Our relationship with our Japanese headquarters is very close. But, in America (as well as in Japan), times have changed. The idea of the stern, unyielding sensei is no longer acceptable to most people. We feel that we would be remiss if we didn't make it simple for you to benefit from our teachings. And anyway, Aikido has always been taught with kindness and dignity. (Our Mr. Miyagi vs that guy from the Cobra Kai.) And, our teachers are professional
master instructors trained in Japan. THE THIRD STEP
Come in for a visit and we will gladly introduce you to the
classes 2

you decide that you do not wish to pursue a study of Aikido, you can withdraw
with no further obligation.
